Chronological Life of Jesus -94. We do not know the mind of God when tragedy occurs unless He explicitly tells us. Whether it is visited on a nation, a city, a community, or a person things aren't so clear cut about the guilt or innocence of the people involved. Was it God's hand? Why didn't He intervene? Jesus uses this passage to teach that it is not about 'why' but am I ready should it be visited upon me, and the necessity for quick repentance.
