Peter knew of his ultimate death, and the method, yet he faithfully followed Jesus for the subsequent 4 decades. He now faced this very prophecy from the Lord’s mouth. He viewed the things of the Lord as precious: precious faith and exceedingly great and precious promises. This can only come from knowledge of the LORD, given to us by His divine power
