A True Partnership in Christ
The Apostle Paul was led to Philippi through a vision given to him during his second missionary journey. Through his obedience to the Holy Spirit’s leading, multiple people got saved and a church was established; a church that was known for their love, their generosity, and their hospitality. This Epistle to the Philippians was written while Paul was imprisoned in Rome, but in spite of his circumstances, central to his message to the Philippians is the joy of faith – a joy that can only come through dependence on Jesus Christ. The letter begins with a humble introduction, thankfulness for their partnership in the gospel of Christ, and prayer for a greater love.
